ACC’s 184th Public Hearing Held in Sherpur

Sherpur: The 184th public hearing of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) was held at the district Shilpakola Academy today, focusing on the theme ‘Will build the country together. Corruption free Bangladesh’. The event was organized by the ACC’s Integrated District Office of Jamalpur, in collaboration with the Sherpur district administration.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the hearing was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur, Tarafdar Mahmudur Rahman. ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi attended the event as the chief guest, while Director General (Investigation) Md Akhter Hossain participated as a special guest. Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan and Director (Additional charge) of the ACC Mymensingh division, Tajul Islam Bhuiyan, were also present.



During the hearing, members of the public who experienced difficulties obtaining services or faced harassment at government offices submitted their complaints. The ACC’s leadership provided immediate resolutions based on these allegations in the presence of district-level government office chiefs.



The hearing aimed to ensure accountability and service delivery in government offices across the district. Leading up to the event, a large-scale campaign in Sherpur sadar included the distribution of leaflets, setting up complaint booths and boxes, and posturing, which generated significant public interest and participation.



The event was attended by civil society members, the general public, and journalists from both print and electronic media.
