Palestinian Chief Justice Proposes Agricultural Collaboration with Bangladesh

Dhaka: A delegation led by Palestinian Chief Justice Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbas today met Home and Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at his office in the ministry at the Secretariat. During the meeting, they discussed diplomatic relations between the two countries and the production and export of agricultural products.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Jahangir welcomed the delegation and emphasized the strong friendship between Bangladesh and Palestine. He stated that Bangladesh has always supported Palestine and expressed readiness to collaborate with Palestine on any issue.



The Palestinian Chief Justice provided insights into his country’s agricultural production and export-oriented products. He expressed interest in producing export-oriented and more productive crops in Bangladesh. He mentioned that if they could access cultivable land in Bangladesh, they would be able to produce high-yielding crops for export, benefiting both nations and providing employment for agricultural workers in Bangladesh.



The Agriculture Adviser accepted the proposal and assured the delegation that detailed discussions would be conducted with the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture. Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman and senior officials of the Ministries of Agriculture and Home Affairs were also present at the meeting.
