Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) of Police has arrested a drug dealer with 10,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from the city's Nayapaltan area. The arrested individual is identified as Md Jasim Uddin alias Jasim, 45.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media and public relations division detailed the operation. A team from the DB-Motijheel division conducted a raid in the Nayapaltan area, capturing Jasim along with the yaba tablets around 8:30 pm on Wednesday. The release also noted that a motorcycle used for transporting the drugs was seized from his possession.
The legal procedure against Jasim is currently underway, as mentioned in the release.
