Barishal: Zia memorial football friendly match was organised here today to mark the 47th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Sources of BNP Barishal metropolitan unit said that two teams, namely Red and Green, took part in the friendly match with the participation of former national and local level footballers at Barisal Stadium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the friendly match was organized by Bangladesh District and Divisional Sports Organizers Association with the support of Barishal Metropolitan unit of BNP. Sources also informed that Aminul Haque, convener of the Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP’s central sports affairs secretary, formally inaugurated the friendly match as the chief guest.
