Dhaka: The government has issued an in-situ directive promoting 11 officers to the rank of deputy secretary (DS) from senior assistant secretary.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the public administration ministry released a notification confirming that these officers, who received their promotions on August 28 and were designated as officers of special duty (OSDs), will continue to serve in their current roles without any change in their office location or responsibilities.
The officers who have been affected by this directive include Linkon Biswas, additional deputy commissioner, Narail, Sharmin Akter, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Mashfakur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner, Narayanganj, Md Mizanur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Badruddoza Shuvo, additional deputy commissioner, Dhaka, Ferdousi Begum, additional deputy commissioner, Khagrachari, Fuara Khatun, additional deputy commissioner, Dhaka, Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Ariful Islam, additional deputy commissioner, Bagerhat, and Sousumi Khanam, additional deputy commissioner, Jamalpur.
The notification added that this order is issued in the public interest and will take effect immediately.
