Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today announced that an opportunity has arisen to establish the fundamental rights of all ethnic groups in a fascist-free country. He emphasized the BNP's commitment to building a secure Bangladesh inclusive of all ethnic communities during a virtual address at the national representative conference of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Khudro Jatigoshti Dal, held at the Tareque Memorial Auditorium in the city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman highlighted the significant role played by minority ethnic groups in resisting attacks and persecution during the dictatorial period, contributing to the movement for democratic political rights against fascism. He noted that the current environment presents a chance to secure civil rights for every individual in a nation free from dictatorship.
Tarique further mentioned that the interim government has announced plans to conduct national elections next February. He assured that if BNP comes to power, the party will focus on job creation, ensuring a conducive working environment, and establishing a safe Bangladesh for everyone, irrespective of party affiliation, opinion, religion, caste, or tribe, by implementing comprehensive plans.
The acting chairman of BNP called for the support, cooperation, and votes of minority ethnic groups in the upcoming general election, reinforcing the party's dedication to inclusivity and equal rights.
