Light to Moderate Rain Forecasted Across Several Regions in Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are expected at various locations across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin indicates that regions such as Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet are likely to experience these weather conditions at numerous places. Meanwhile, areas within the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions may see such weather at one or two sites, with moderately heavy to heavy rainfall anticipated in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

In terms of temperatures, the meteorological office predicts that daytime temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures might experience a slight drop throughout the country. The bulletin also notes that the monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and is moderate to strong over the North Bay r
egion.

On Tuesday, Ishurdi, Syedpur, Sylhet, Srimangal, Cumilla, Feni, and Chuadanga recorded the highest temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius. Conversely, the lowest temperature was observed in Srimangal, at 24.2 degrees Celsius. In the capital city of Dhaka, the sun is set to set at 6:22 pm today, with sunrise expected at 5:39 am tomorrow.
