Magura: A child named Maruf, aged 8, was tragically killed in a van accident in sadar upazila of Magura district yesterday. The incident took place at the Sangda Laxmipur Imam Ali intersection in the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Magura Sadar Police Thana, Mohammad Ayub Ali, stated that the accident occurred when a van lost control and ran over the child. The circumstances leading to the loss of control are yet to be determined, as investigations are ongoing.
The OC further explained that the body of the child will be handed over to the family following the completion of necessary legal procedures. Authorities are working to expedite this process, ensuring that the family can proceed with the funeral arrangements.
