Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,344 cases against vehicles, owners, and drivers for violating traffic rules.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these cases were filed and fines were collected during a regular drive conducted by the DMP Traffic Division on August 26. The campaign targeted those breaking traffic regulations in an effort to maintain order on the roads.
The press release issued today by the DMP revealed that during the campaign, the traffic police also dumped 313 motor vehicles and towed 114 vehicles. This action was part of the measures taken to address traffic rule violations. The DMP has made it clear that these enforcement drives will continue as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure discipline and safety on Dhaka’s streets.
