Campaign for Using Jute Bags Launched in Natore

Natore: As part of a polythene-free movement, the district administration has launched a motivation campaign to promote the use of jute bags among residents, aiming to safeguard the environment.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign’s theme focuses on replacing polythene bags with jute-made alternatives. On the occasion, a rally was organized in the Nichabazar area of Natore town, which paraded through various streets. Following the rally, Deputy Commissioner Ashma Shahin distributed jute bags to encourage the adoption of these environment-friendly products.



Asma Shahin stated, “We have taken this initiative to make Natore a polythene-free town… as part of a nationwide campaign, the district administration launched this motivated initiative to promote jute products due to the serious harmful impacts of polythene bags on our environment.”



Chief Executive Officer of the district parishad, Shamim Bhuiyan, along with local administration officials and jute product campaigners, participated in the campaign.
