Dhaka: BNP has accepted the release applications of five leaders, including GK Gaus, from the Habiganj convening committee to contest in the district BNP council. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced this in a statement issued today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the statement specified that the Habiganj district BNP council is scheduled for September 6. To participate in the council, 1st Joint Convener GK Gaus, Joint Convener Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Advocate Haji Nurul Islam, Haji Enamul Haque, and Md Enamul Haque Selim requested voluntarily that their names be removed from the district BNP convening committee.
The statement further mentioned that their applications have been accepted, allowing them to proceed with their candidacy for the upcoming district council.
