Safe Water Supply Project Launched to Benefit 300 Families in Manikganj

Manikganj: The “Safe Water Supply Project” was inaugurated today with the commencement of digging a deep tube well at Bhatbaoir village under Dighi union of Manikganj Sadar upazila. The project aims to provide safe drinking water to the local community, significantly impacting the lives of the residents.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Manikganj Sadar, Sheikh Mejba-Ul Saberina, inaugurated the project as the chief guest. The event witnessed the presence of prominent local figures including Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam, and Assistant Engineer of the Department of Public Health Engineering Md Mahbubul Islam. Also in attendance was the Chairman of Dighi Union Parishad, Aktariddin Ahmed Raja, along with other government officials.



The project is set to supply safe water to approximately 300 families through a pipeline connected to the newly installed deep tube well. This initiative marks a significant step towards improving public health and ensuring access to clean water for the residents of Bhatbaoir village.
