Health Officials Record 470 New Dengue Cases Across Bangladesh

Barishal: Health officials today said they recorded 470 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours with most patients reporting in health facilities in southwestern Barishal region.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 94 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 87 in Chattogram division, and 90 in Dhaka division excluding the capital. Additionally, 74 cases were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and another 74 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas. Other regions affected include Mymensingh division with 11 cases and Rangpur division with six cases.

Since the onset of the dengue outbreak, Bangladesh has witnessed 118 deaths, with a total of 29,514 people affected by the disease this year. In comparison, the previous year saw 575 deaths and 101,214 individuals impacted by dengue across the country.
