Dhaka:A unique French-Bangladeshi theatrical production titled 'Invisible Stories' is set to take the stage at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on November 6 and 7. The production blends Bengali ghost stories, body puppetry, and live music inspired by the Sundarbans.

According to United News of Bangladesh, 'Invisible Stories' is jointly presented by Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD), Compagnie Graine de Vie, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The show has been created and directed by French puppeteer Laurie Cannac, who draws inspiration from Bangladesh's oral traditions and cultural heritage, focusing on the supernatural beliefs embedded in everyday life.

The narrative follows two scientists exploring the impact of ghosts on daily life in Dhaka. Their investigation leads them on a journey where the distinction between human and supernatural realms fades, taking them into the mystical Sundarbans. The production reimagines Dhaka as a surreal city, offering supernatural interpretations for common urban issues like traffic congestion and urbanization.

The performance highlights the collaboration between French and Bangladeshi artists, featuring Laurie Cannac and Swatee Bhadra, with live music by Nonabhumi Organisation. The November 6 show will be in English and Bangla, while the November 7 performance will be in French and Bangla, both starting at 6 pm. Admission is free, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.
