Country’s Economy is Stable Now: Sharmeen

Bogura: Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid has stated that the country’s economy is currently stable due to the hard and relentless efforts of the interim government over the past year. Sharmeen Murshid made this announcement while inaugurating the ‘Citizens Right and Climate Justice’ project at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sharmeen highlighted that the economy was in a fragile state when the interim government took over. However, through dedicated efforts, the situation has now become stable. She emphasized that by restoring internal confidence, Bangladesh has demonstrated to the international community that it is not a bankrupt state.



The event was chaired by the DC of Bogura, Hosna Afroz, with participation from the Chief Executive Officer of Light House-Bogura, Harun-or-Rashid, and other senior government officials. The Citizens Rights and Climate Justice Project aims to implement various programs to ensure people’s rights and address the impacts of climate change.
