Gopalganj: A man was killed in a road accident in the Chapta area under Kashiani upazila of the district early this morning. The deceased was identified as Mamun Mollah, 35, son of Ashraf Mollah, a resident of Tilchhara village under Orakandi union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a private car collided with a goods-laden rickshaw van from behind, resulting in injuries to the van puller, Mamun Mollah. Bhatiapara Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Maksudur Rahman Murad provided details of the incident.
Initially, the injured Mamun was taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
