Thimphu: The Bangladesh U-17 Women’s football team continues its intensive training at Changlimithang Stadium, the primary venue for the upcoming South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh U-19 women’s football team coach Emran Hsan Emon expressed satisfaction with the team’s current condition, stating that the players are confident and well-prepared for the tournament. Emon conveyed his gratitude to the Bangladesh Football Federation for allowing the team to acclimate to Bhutan’s conditions before the competition, noting that the players have nearly adjusted to the local climate and are ready to showcase their skills.
Emon further mentioned that the day’s training session was productive, as it focused on addressing areas that needed improvement, resulting in a successful practice session. However, player Ishita Tripura noted the challenge of adapting to the local weather despite the positive training experience. She affirmed the team’s strong condition and dedication to their training regimen.
In response to inquiries, Ishita stated the team’s ambition to win the championship. Bangladesh’s SAFF campaign will commence against Bhutan on August 20, followed by a match against India on August 22. Subsequent games include facing Nepal on August 24 and 27, Bhutan again on August 29, and India on August 31. All matches are scheduled to take place at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.
