Dhaka: Four more second round matches of the Ruchi 36th National Women's Handball competition were held at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the capital today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the day's matches saw Panchagarh District Sports Association (DSA) secure a decisive victory against Naogaon DSA with a score of 34-11, after establishing a strong lead in the first half with 19-5 goals. Simultaneously, Gopalganj DSA triumphed over Bogra with a 24-15 scoreline, despite trailing in the first half by 10-11 goals.
In other matches, Jamalpur DSA outperformed Naogaon DSA with a 20-12 victory, having led the first half by 12-5 goals. Dhaka DSA also dominated the field, overpowering Jessore DSA by 26-12 goals after a commanding first half of 15-4 goals.
A total of nine teams, divided into two groups, are competing in this second round of the tournament.
