Dhaka: A total of 24 political parties, including the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and National Citizen Party (NCP), have submitted their opinions on the draft of the July Charter to the National Consensus Commission. This submission followed a review of the revised draft sent to the parties after correcting errors in the previous version.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the commission had initially extended the deadline for submitting opinions on the draft to August 22 at 3 pm. The parties that met the deadline include the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Khilafat Majlis, Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party, and several others, totaling 24 parties.

The commission, however, noted that seven political parties have yet to provide their feedback. These parties are Nagorik Oikya, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Gano Odhikar Parishad, Rastra Sangskar Andolon, Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh, and Islami Oikya Jote. Despite this, the commission confirmed that the deadline for submitting opinions on the final draft will not be extended further.
