Munshiganj: Three people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway at Srinagar upazila this morning. The deceased were identified as Raisa Akhtar, 20, Md Arman, 25, and Tanjil, 24. The incident occurred near the Shologhar passenger shed around 6 am when a Dhaka-bound private car overturned after hitting the road divider, following a loss of control by its driver.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the collision resulted in the immediate deaths of passengers Arman and Tanjil, while two others sustained injuries. The injured were transported to the Srinagar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared Raisa dead.
Officer-in-Charge Abdul Quader Jilani of Hasara Highway Police Station reported the details of the crash and confirmed the fatalities. The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine any further actions.
