Faridpur: Three people, including a woman, lost their lives and at least 15 others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Kanaipur Notun Bridge on the Dhaka-Khulna highway today. The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed yet.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 12:30 pm when a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Royal Express' collided head-on with another bus of 'Darshana Deluxe' Paribahan. The collision resulted in the immediate death of three passengers and left 15 others injured. Md. Salauddin Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge of Karimpur Highway Police Station, provided details of the incident.
The injured individuals were transported to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
