Mock Drill Empowers Students in Firefighting Skills: Speakers Highlight Importance

Sundarganj: Speakers at a recent function emphasized the importance of mock drills in equipping students with the skills to efficiently extinguish fires during emergencies. They highlighted that with proper training, students would be capable of effectively handling fire situations. This was articulated during a function held to mark the mock drill of fire extinguishing at Belka Mazidpara Girls’ High School.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the mock drill was organized by the Fire Service and Civil Defense Station of Gaibandha in collaboration with SKS Foundation, a non-government organization. The event was attended by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Raz Kumar Biswas, Mahmudul Islam, the deputy director of the Gaibandha local office of the fire service, and representatives from various government and non-government organizations.



The event saw the participation of all students from the high school, who actively engaged in the mock drill exercises. The training aimed to enhance the students’ ability to respond effectively to fire emergencies, thereby promoting safety and preparedness in the community.
