National and International Youth Day Commemorated with Enthusiasm in Manikganj

Manikganj: The National and International Youth Day was celebrated with a variety of activities in Manikganj, including a vibrant rally, tree plantation, fish fry release, voluntary blood donation, and a series of discussions. The event also featured the distribution of youth loans and the awarding of certificates and crests to individuals who have excelled in different trades.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the day's program was held at the Hall Room of the Manikganj District Youth Development Center located in Joka under Ghior Upazila. Dr. Manwar Hossein Malla, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Manikganj, graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding a significant presence to the event.

The function was chaired by Aloka Prova Dey, the Deputy Director of Youth Development. Among the noteworthy speakers were Civil Surgeon Dr. Khurshid Alam, Assistant Police Superintendent of Shibalaya Circle Sadia Sabrina, and Deputy Director of Social Service Md. Abdul Baten. Other prominent figures included Ghior Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nashitatul Islam, President of Manikganj Press Club Zahangir Alam Biswas, the Club's General Secretary Shahanur Islam, and Principal of National Polytechnic Institute (NPI) Engineer Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain, who participated as a special guest.

The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by Monirul Islam, the Deputy Coordinator of Youth Development, setting the tone for a day dedicated to empowering and celebrating the youth of the region.
