Dhaka: Bangladesh's specialist batting coach Julian Wood today conducted a workshop on power hitting with senior coaches of the BCB.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Wood is in Bangladesh for a month-long stay, during which he will also conduct special sessions with the national cricket team. The BCB has brought in Wood to enhance the players' skills in power hitting, a crucial element for success in the T20 format.
Bangladesh has traditionally struggled with power hitting, leading to frequent underperformance in T20 matches. This shortcoming prompted several cricketers to emphasize the need for improvement in this area, which in turn led the BCB to hire Wood's expertise.
