Dhaka: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has directed all educational institutions to submit articles and related information concerning the martyrs and injured of the 2024 July Uprising by August 20. This initiative aims to commemorate the individuals who played significant roles during the uprising.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the directive was communicated through an official letter signed by Md. Khalid Hossain, Assistant Director (General Administration) of DSHE. The letter was dispatched to all regional directors and deputy directors of schools and inspection branches. This correspondence is in response to a previous letter issued by the Education Ministry's Secondary and Higher Education Division on August 7, urging the collection of articles and documents that honor the July martyrs and those injured during the uprising.
Educational institutions are instructed to send hard copies of their articles to Badrul Hasan Liton, Joint Secretary of the Performance, Innovation and Service Development Branch at the Education Ministry, DSHE. Additionally, soft copies are required to be typed in Nix Bangla font (size 14) and emailed to [email protected], with a CC to [email protected].
Submissions must include relevant news reports, photographs, government gazettes, or other verified evidence that have been published so far. For email submissions, scanned copies of these materials are necessary. Furthermore, each article should be accompanied by a certification letter, jointly signed by the institution's head, the most senior teacher, and the chairman of the institution's essay committee.
