Jashore: The results of 670 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) candidates under the Jashore Education Board have been revised following a re-evaluation of their answer scripts. Among them, 187 students who had initially failed have now passed the exams after their papers were reviewed. Additionally, 271 more students secured the highest grade, GPA-5, as a result of the re-scrutiny.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Dr. Abdul Matin, Controller of Examinations of the Jashore Education Board, confirmed the revision. He stated that over 20,000 answer scripts were re-examined following applications from students, leading to the significant changes in the results. The re-evaluation process has provided relief to many students and their families, as it corrected discrepancies in the initial marking.

The Jashore Education Board’s decision to re-evaluate such a large number of scripts highlights the commitment to maintaining accuracy and fairness in the examination process. This development has been welcomed by educational stakeholders who emphasize the importance of upholding the integrity of academic assessments.

The re-scrutiny process, which allowed students to apply for a review of their exam papers, has proven to be crucial in ensuring that deserving candidates receive the grades that accurately reflect their performance. The board’s efforts have been acknowledged as a step towards enhancing transparency and accountability in the education system.
