Chattogram: Industries, Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan emphasized the importance of remembering the martyrs of the July Uprising, stating that the nation must acknowledge and honor their sacrifices perpetually. “Bangladesh achieved independence for the second time because of their supreme sacrifice. No matter who comes to power in the future, their contribution must be acknowledged,” Khan remarked during a visit to the July Smriti Udyan in the city’s Panchlaish area earlier today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government is considering the construction of a monument in the park to preserve the memory of those who laid down their lives during the uprising. Khan mentioned, “We plan to design and install it very soon, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.”

The announcement was made in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam, along with senior officials from the Public Works Department in Chattogram, and journalists from both print and electronic media.
