BSF Pushes 18 Individuals into Bangladesh: BGB Detains Them

Dhaka: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed a total of 18 people, including females and children, into Bangladesh through different border points here in the early hours of today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 14 individuals, comprising six females, a teenager, three children, and four youths, were pushed into Bangladesh around 3 am through the Dhamirhat Kalupara border. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) team, led by Patrol Commander Rupan Chakma of BOP Dhamirhat Kalupara under BGB 14, detained them after they entered Bangladeshi territory.



The individuals apprehended at the Dhamirhat Kalupara border have been identified as Badsha Mia, 20; Imran Gazi, 34; Nazmul Hasan, 24; Suma, 4; Raihan, 4; Nupur, 22; Ashika, 4; Munia, 18; Rakeya, 28; Babu, 17; Priya, 26; Fatema, 7; Babita, 35; and Duli, 40. Officer-in-Charge of Dhamirhat Police Station, Imam Zafar, indicated that legal procedures will commence once they are transferred from BGB custody.



In addition, the BSF pushed four individuals, consisting of two females and two children, through the Bamanpara border of Sapahar Police Station early today. BGB members on patrol duty detained these individuals upon their entry into Bangladesh territory.



The individuals detained at the Bamanpara border have been identified as Hena Khatun, 38; Rupali Khatun, 35; Chadni, 8; and Ramjan, 2. The BGB team has since handed them over to Sapahar Police Station. Officer-in-Charge of Sapahar Police Station, Abdul Aziz, stated that legal procedures are underway against them.
