Dhaka: The UN Bangladesh Security Adviser Tess B. Bresnan today paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Baharul Alam. The meeting took place at the Police Headquarters this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the session focused on enhancing mutual cooperation, particularly in the context of the upcoming national elections. The discussions highlighted various issues aimed at strengthening collaborative efforts.
Bresnan conveyed satisfaction with the professionalism and cooperation exhibited by the Bangladesh Police in securing the personnel working in various UN agencies and partner organizations throughout the country. This appreciation underscores the effective measures in place to safeguard international staff.
IGP Baharul Alam assured that the police force is prioritizing the security of UN and other foreign organization officers and employees in Bangladesh. He affirmed that this cooperation would persist in the future to ensure sustained security measures.
The meeting was also attended by DIG (Operations) of Police Headquarters Md. Rezaul Karim and other senior police officers, indicating the high level of importance attributed to this collaboration.
