Rajbari: An elderly man was killed when a private car hit his motorcycle near Bangladesh Hat under Pangsha upazila of the district early today. The deceased was identified as Ferdous Ali, 60, son of Abdul Gani Mollah, and a resident of Agargaon Taltoli Government Colony under Mohammadpur Police Station in Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 1:30 am when a private car hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Ferdous critically injured, said Salauddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pangsha Police Station. Locals rescued him and took him to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries.
OC Salauddin stated that Ferdous was on his way to Kushtia from Dhaka on a motorcycle when the accident took place.
