Chattogram: Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Pratik, today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of educationist, valiant Freedom Fighter, former chairman of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA), and Principal of Presidency International School, Lt Col (retd) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser described Lt Col (retd) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam as an ideal man and a true patriot. He emphasized that Ziauddin’s contributions to the country’s Liberation War and progressive politics serve as an example for others to follow.
In his message of condolence, the adviser prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended his sympathy to the bereaved family.
Lt. Col. (retd.) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam died of old-age complications at 4:30 pm yesterday while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital in Chattogram. He was 83.
