Dhaka: A day-long cultural function and a special drone show are scheduled to take place at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka tomorrow as part of the celebrations for July Uprising Day. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, as stated in a press release issued today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the observance of July Uprising Day will commence with the laying of wreaths at the July Martyrs’ Monument across all 64 districts in the country at 9 am. This act of remembrance is planned to honor the significance of the day with due dignity.
Further activities include prayers and reflections, known as doa and munazat, which will be held in religious venues nationwide. In addition, the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority’s circle offices, under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, will contribute by planting trees along roadsides, on their premises, and at traffic intersections to commemorate the day.
Complementing the domestic activities, films and documentaries that highlight the events of the July Uprising will be broadcast in Bangladesh missions abroad, extending the reach of the commemoration beyond the national borders.
