Met Office Predicts Rain Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am. ‘Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,’ said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, as indicated by the bulletin. The highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 35 degrees Celsius in Baghabari under Rajshahi division and Kumarkhali under Khulna division, while today’s minimum temperature was noted to be 22.8 degrees Celsius in Tangail.



The bulletin also mentioned that the sun is expected to set at 6:40 pm today and will rise at 5:30 am tomorrow in the capital.
