Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,845 cases against vehicles, owners, and drivers for violating traffic rules.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division filed these cases and imposed fines during a regular drive against traffic rule violators that commenced on July 29. This was revealed in a press release issued today.
The press release stated that during the campaign, the DMP traffic police dumped 282 motor vehicles and towed 92 vehicles. These measures were part of their ongoing efforts to enforce traffic regulations.
The DMP release further mentioned that these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
