Dhaka: The long-awaited Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections are set to take place on September 9. Chief Returning Officer Professor Jashim Uddin announced the election schedule at a press briefing held at the conference room of the University's Senate Building today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the election schedule outlines that the draft voter list will be published on July 30, with complaints regarding the draft list being accepted until August 6. The final voter list is scheduled for release on August 11 at 4:00 PM.
Nomination papers will be distributed from August 12 to August 18, with a submission deadline set for August 19. The scrutiny of nomination papers is slated for August 20, and the list of valid candidates will be announced on August 21 at 1:00 PM.
Candidates have until 1:00 PM on August 25 to withdraw their candidacy, after which the final list of contestants will be published on August 26. Voting is scheduled for September 9, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with vote counting and results announced on the same day.
