Dhaka: Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus today urged anti-fascist political parties to enhance the visibility of their unity, stating its significance in providing relief and satisfaction to the public. During an emergency meeting at his official residence, Jamuna, Prof Yunus emphasized the importance of demonstrating solidarity on anti-fascist issues and constructive programs. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was attended by leaders from BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, NCP, and Islami Andolon, who convened to discuss the current national situation. Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Prof Dr Asif Nazrul briefed the media post-meeting, highlighting the cordial nature of the discussions. Prof Nazrul reported that the political parties reassured the government of their unwavering anti-fascist unity, with no internal disputes or differences of opinion. He conveyed that occasional criticisms in the political arena should not be misconstrued as a lack of solidarity, as these parties co nsider each other allies in the anti-fascist struggle. The political parties also urged the government to adopt a firmer position on maintaining law and order, while the BNP specifically called for fairness in the electoral process.
