Dhaka: The Islamic University (IU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Union today announced a fresh 33-member executive body at the 19th council meeting, held in the Bangla Mancha area on the campus.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Nur Alam Siddique from the Fine Arts department of the 2019-20 academic session and Ahmad Galib from the Accounting and Information System department of the 2020-21 academic session have been appointed as the president and general secretary, respectively, as per a press release.
The newly formed committee includes vice-presidents Mazidul Islam Ujjal, Imtiaz Ahmed Emon, Sumon Sheikh, Ahsan Habib Rana, and Asifur Rahman. Monir Hossain, Hasibur Rahman, and Tariqul Islam have been designated as joint secretaries, while Tahmid Hasan Sajib will serve as the organizing secretary. The position of treasurer has been entrusted to Zinnat Maliyat Sima, with Tanim Tanvir as the office secretary.
Further members of the executive body are Minhajur Rahman Mahim as education and research secretary, Rahat Hossain as publicity and publication secretary, Mohammad Sobuj as cultural secretary, Masud Rana as sports secretary, Md. Sobuj as school student affairs secretary, and Mazharul Islam as international affairs secretary.
The executive members of the newly formed committee are former president Mahmudul Hasan, Delwar Hossain, Obaidur Rahman Anas, Uday Debnath, Sadia Mahmud Mim, Jibon Sheikh, Sumon Sarkar, Shihab Hossain, Miraj Hasan, Saiful Islam, and Sourav Abdul Alim.
