Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at Ibne Sina Hospital this evening. Fakhrul arrived at the hospital in Dhanmondi around 8:15 pm, as confirmed by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman became ill while delivering the closing speech at the national rally held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. Afterward, he was transported to the hospital in Dhanmondi for medical attention.
Upon hearing the news of Dr. Rahman's condition, Mirza Fakhrul promptly went to the hospital to check on his health status. Jamaat's publicity wing in-charge Ataur Rahman Sarkar informed reporters that the Jamaat Ameer's health condition is currently stable.
