Special Prayers Offered on ‘July Martyrs’ Day’ in Pirojpur

Pirojpur: Marking “July Martyrs’ Day,” prayers were offered today in all mosques and other places of worship in the district for the forgiveness of the martyrs of the student-people mass uprising. The prayers were held at the Pirojpur Central Jame Mosque after Zuhr prayers, focusing on the peace of the departed souls of the martyrs.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was organized by the Pirojpur District Administration and was attended by Deputy Commissioner Md. Ashraful Alam Khan as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Alauddin Bhuiyan Joni, Pirojpur District BNP Convener Principal Alamgir Hossain, Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mamunur Rashid, District Social Service Officer Md. Iqbal Kabir, District Sramik Dal General Secretary Afzal Hossain Tipu, and District Businessmen’s Association General Secretary Ahsanul Kabir were also present.



The programme was attended by families of the July uprising martyrs and injured individuals from the district, alongside local political party leaders and dignitaries. The Khatib of the Central Jame Masjid, Maulana Zubair Hossain, conducted the prayers.
