Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain today emphasized the importance of studying English in madrasas alongside Arabic. He highlighted that such an approach could expand employment prospects for students both domestically and internationally while enhancing their global relevance.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Khalid made these remarks during an exchange of views with teachers and students in the conference room after visiting Patiya Shahchand Aouliya Madrasa. He stressed the need for madrasas to produce talented students who are proficient in both English and Arabic to multiply their employment opportunities.
Dr Khalid stated that by learning English, madrasa students could pursue careers in various fields such as medicine, engineering, education, research, and IT. He emphasized the potential for students to integrate modern knowledge and science with Islamic teachings and contribute to presenting Islam on a global stage.
