Bandarban: Three Mro women from the same family tragically lost their lives after being electrocuted in Ranglai Chairmanpara on the Bandarban-Chimbuk road in Bandarban district. The victims were identified as Tumle Mro, 17, Urkan Mro, 71, and Rawleng Mro, 35, all residents of Ranglai Chairmanpara.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, five others were injured in the accident and have been taken to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for treatment. The mishap occurred in the '13 Mile' area of the Bandarban-Chimbuk road on Sunday at midnight.
Police and local residents reported that the incident was caused by the explosion of an electrical transformer near the village. The women were electrocuted after coming into contact with live wires, which led to their deaths.
District Police Superintendent Shahidullah Kausar confirmed the incident. He stated that police officers arrived at the scene in the morning after receiving the information. He also mentioned that further details of the incident would be available later.
