Dhaka: July Women’s Day will be observed on Dhaka University campus tomorrow to mark the first anniversary of the historic July Uprising. To facilitate participation in the program, evening classes and examinations of various departments and institutes will remain closed from 5 pm tomorrow (Monday), said a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the July Women’s Day commemoration is a significant event for the university community, reflecting on the pivotal role women played during the July Uprising. The decision to suspend evening academic activities underscores the importance of the observance and encourages student and faculty participation in the day’s events.
