Dhaka: Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mohammad Wasif today paid a courtesy call on Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Dhaka University Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed at his office here. Pakistan High Commission counselor Kamran Dangal was also present during the call on, said a university release here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, both parties discussed the potential expansion of joint education and research programs between Dhaka University and various higher education institutes in Pakistan. They also explored opportunities for the exchange of teachers, students, and officials between the institutions.
The Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner expressed interest in participating in a diploma course on the Bengali language at Dhaka University to enhance the experience of Pakistani diplomats in the Bangla language. He also mentioned that a computer lab has been installed at the Urdu department of Dhaka University with assistance from the Pakistan High Commission, and expressed a desire to expand such programs.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor of DU thanked the Deputy High Commissioner for his visit and his interest in the university’s education and research programs.
