Nakla: A minor boy tragically lost his life while five other individuals sustained critical injuries following a devastating collision between a bus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Nakla upazila today. The accident occurred in the Paiska Bypass area around 1pm, claiming the life of 9-year-old Shuvrajit Dutta, who was traveling with his family.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shuvrajit was the son of Prosenjit Dutta and Tandra Dutta, residents of Sahapara village in Phulpur upazila. The auto-rickshaw, carrying several passengers, was en route to Nakla upazila when it collided with a passenger bus coming from Sherpur.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station, Habibur Rahman, reported that the collision was severe enough to cause the immediate death of Shuvrajit, who was sitting on his mother's lap at the time of the incident. The impact left the boy's parents, the auto-rickshaw driver, and two other passengers with critical injuries.
Emergency services arrived promptly at the scene to assist the injured, who were subsequently transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. The tragic incident has cast a shadow over the community, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the collision.
