Jamalpur: District Administration today distributed financial assistance to the eight martyrs' families of July Uprising in the district. Deputy Commissioner, Hasina Begum formally handed over the grant among the eight martyrs' families at its conference room. Each family received a national savings certificate (NSC) amounting to TK ten lakh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the July fighters of the student-people uprising, namely Md Liton, Suman Hasan, Md Ripon Maih, Md Mizanur Rahman, Zahidul Islam, Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Rabbi Miah, and Rabiul Islam, were the beneficiaries of this financial assistance. The Deputy Commissioner, Hasina Begum, emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the martyrs' families and injured persons through various programs.
In her address, Hasina Begum announced plans to erect a monument in the district to honor the July Uprising martyrs, signifying the government's dedication to preserving their memory. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Iftekhar Yunus and Civil Surgeon Dr. Md Azizul Haque also spoke at the occasion, highlighting the significance of the support provided to the families.
