Jashore: The 5th day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Jashore Education Board (JEB) passed off peacefully today, with one student being expelled and over two thousand recorded absentees.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 2,231 students were absent from the exams. The day saw several vigilance teams, comprising teachers and magistrates, visiting various centers to ensure discipline and fairness in the examination process. The Jashore Education Board reported that 94,595 out of the registered 96,826 students appeared for the examination across 240 centers affiliated with 575 colleges.
Professor Dr. Abdul Matin, the JEB controller, informed that comprehensive measures had been implemented to conduct the exams in a fair manner. He stated that one examinee faced expulsion from a Bagerhat center for using unfair means during the ICT examination.
