Dhaka: Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry Nasimul Ghani today visited the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters in the capital. During his two and a half hours stay at the FSCD headquarters from 11:30 am, he inspected the fire fighting and rescue equipment display and later engaged in discussions with FSCD officials, as stated in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Senior Secretary provided necessary directives to FSCD officials on various issues after carefully listening to their concerns. He expressed his appreciation for the role of the FSCD and expressed hope that the Fire Service and Civil Defence will continue to play a crucial role in protecting lives and properties in future disasters.
The Senior Secretary was accompanied by Additional Secretary of the Security Services Division (Administration and Finance Division) Md. Shamim Khan and Private Secretary to the Secretary Md. Rahat Bin Qutub during the visit. Director General of the Department, Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal, received the Home Secretary at the FSCD headquarters, with senior fire officials present throughout the visit.
