Chattogram: The second day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Chattogram Education Board (CEB) passed off without incident today. Two students from Government City College were expelled during the Bangla second paper examination for using unfair means, as reported by board officials.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a CEB source stated that on the second day of exams, 87,083 out of 88,318 students attended the examination at 115 centers representing 307 colleges. However, 1,235 students were absent from the Bangla second paper examination.
A total of 65 vigilance teams comprising teachers and magistrates visited various centers throughout the port city to ensure the integrity of the examination process. CEB controller, Professor Dr. Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, informed BSS that the first day of examinations also proceeded without any incidents and free from malpractice, attributing this to the measures implemented by the authorities to ensure a smooth examination period in recent years.
