Sylhet: BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury proclaimed today that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has plans to transform Bangladesh into a thriving commercial hub if they are elected to power. Speaking as the chief guest at the Sylhet Business Dialogue held at the Jalalabad Gas auditorium, Khasru emphasized the vision of creating an environment where both domestic and foreign investors can freely engage in business.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khasru outlined a strategic plan that includes generating employment for one crore people within the first 18 months of the BNP's administration. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing the information technology sector, assuring that jobs will be made available to the youth who have completed at least their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in this field. Moreover, Khasru expressed intentions to repatriate skilled young IT professionals who are currently working abroad.
Khasru stressed the need to decouple business operations from political influences, underlining BNP's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for business and trade from the onset of their governance. The event saw the presence of notable figures such as BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, former President Fazlul Haque, BNP Chairperson's Advisor M Abdul Malek, Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Qaiyum Chowdhury, and Metropolitan BNP Acting President Rezaul Hasan Kayes Lodi, who were also in attendance.
