Feni: A tragic road accident occurred at Gudam Koarter rail crossing near Feni Rail Station tonight, claiming the lives of a mother and her son. The victims have been identified as Fatematuzzohora, 63, and her son Hafez Uddin, 40, residents of Pashchim Pathan Nagar of Chhagalnaiya upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place when the train 'Chattala Express' collided with a CNG-run auto rickshaw in the area. The collision resulted in the immediate death of Hafez Uddin, while Fatematuzzohora sustained critical injuries.
Fatematuzzohora succumbed to her injuries while en route to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The tragic incident has been confirmed by Feni GRP in-charge Md Iqbal Hossain.
